ODL QC re-accredits The London
School of Journalism
At their meeting earlier today, the Open
& Distance Learning Quality Council agreed to re-accredit
The London School of Journalism. Founded in 1920, the London
School of Journalism is one of the oldest journalism schools
in Europe. Based in London and Bath, the School offers distance
learning courses in journalism and news-writing, freelance
& feature writing, sub-editing & design, short story
& novel writing, writing for children and writing poetry,
together with several courses in English. Alongside, there
are face-to-face courses and summer schools, not covered by
ODL QC accreditation. Students are drawn from all over the
world.
In his report, one of the Council's assessors
gave particular praise to the quality of tutor support, which
he described as "exemplary", and "outstanding
examples of Distance Learning Support".
